When you create a quotation workflow, you can also specify which quotation fields are required to be filled in during the quotations workflow. You can also specify which quotation fields need to be disabled and which fields are hidden for the user. In this lesson, we’re going to look into the 'required fields' section of the quotations tab of the settings page.
How to set required fields
To get to the required fields, follow the steps below:
-
Open the EMS
-
Go to the settings page.
-
Click on the quotations tab and scroll down to the required fields section on the bottom of the page.
In the different columns, you can determine which fields are required when working in the quotation overview. Below, you will find a description of the function of every field.
- Required: By setting quotation fields to required, these fields will be required to be filled in before you can submit the quotation. By clicking on the red cross, you can change it into a green checkmark which means that the quotation cannot be submitted before the field is filled in.
- Disabled: Disabled allows you to disable fields on your quote. With this setting you can specify which quotation field can be edited by seller account. If a lock is black, a seller cannot edit that line.
- Hidden: With hidden you can make a field invisible in your quotation overview.
Required CRM fields
If you scroll down you can specify which fields need to be filled in before proceeding to another status. This can be configured for either the CRM account as for CRM contact. You can determine for each individually which needs to be required to fill in. These are split in CRM account fields and CRM contact fields. By checking the checkboxes of the different CRM account fields, you can determine which information needs to be filled in.
