In module 5 we’ve scratched the surface of the possibilities with a quotation document. How to retrieve it from Elfsquad, how to set up you’re first XML-scheme and how to work with repeats and categories. In this module, we will go a step further to look into all the possibilities of the quotation templates and how you can create a complex template and take your quotations to the next level.
Creating a quotation template takes a lot of work. When you create one, you have to consider which design you need, which information you want to send over to you customers and in what order. As we learned, this is all possible with a XML-scheme. When working with an XML-scheme, your template can look a bit hectic with all the repetitions you can use in the template.
In this module we’re going to focus on working with:
-
Categories -How to add categories and how to work with categories in you XML-template
-
CategoryTree - How to add an extra level to your Categories. How to work with Sub-Categories
-
How to show a specific Configuration model on quotation - How to handle with a common situation we get a lot of questions about
Preparations
If you want to work along with the video's, we would advise you to create the Configuration Model from the description below. In this document, you can find a step-by-step description on how to create this Configuration Model.
