We know that there are many different sales channels within manufacturing companies. Within Elfsquad we implemented a tool that helps you manage these channels. We call these Sub-organizations. You use a sub-organizations with resellers, agents, importers, sales departments or business units.
Sub-organization possibilities
When you connect the Sub-organization module, you get the ability to expand your configurator with protected organizations under your main organization, or sub-organizations. As the main organization, you manage all aspects of the sub-organization. And by all, we mean everything, such as sales rights and price settings, personalization and localization, and roles & rights. You manage what sub-organizations can and cannot sell. You determine not only which products a sub-organization can sell, but also what choices are available within a product.
For example: some machines are not suitable for the American market. Therefore, these machines your American dealer cannot configure. But the machines he does sell must of course be suitable for U.S. laws and regulations. Therefore, your American dealer can choose completely different options than your dealers in Germany.
In addition, you control at what margins and purchase discounts your products and items are sold. You can do this on an organizational level and on a product or component level.
For example: with dealer A you have agreed a 25 percent purchase discount on your entire assortment. Dealer B gets additional discounts on top of that on specific products or parts of those products, and dealer C buys your products at list price and puts them through with a set markup.
Each sub-organization deserves its own look and feel, so users log into a familiar environment. For this you have the following options, among others: house styles such as theme colors, logos and fonts. Own quotation templates per language and quotation status and own customer database. To match the sub-organization to its location, you have the following localization options, among others: currencies and rates, countries and languages and translations. To properly manage all these sub-organizations, you provide the sub-organization users with appropriate role rights. For example, it is possible to appoint sellers per sub-organization to sell your products, appoint administrators per sub-organization to manage the settings and appoint managers to oversee or manage multiple sub-organizations.
We do this by assigning Sub-organizations to different Users within a sub-organization will get their own environment in which assigned models can be configured and managed.
In this Module we’re going to look into the possibilities of sub-organizations with the aim of setting up your sub-organization according to your own wishes. You can add the sub-organization module when you have a Pro or Enterprise license. But if you don’t have access to Sub-Organizations, you can look into this Module to see how Sub-Organizations work and if it maybe can be something to implement into your Elfsquad environment.
