To send over the information from a Configuration and Quotation to Exact Online, we have to create a trigger in Elfsquad. This trigger will then become a visible button to create a Quotation or an Order directly into Exact Online. So, let’s dive into Elfsquad to create this Trigger.
Creating Triggers
Before we can send over information from Elfsquad to Exact online, we need to create triggers. These triggers will send over all the linked Features to Exact Online that are on the quotationlines. To create a trigger, follow these steps:
-
Open Elfsquad
-
Go to the integrations page.
-
Click on the settings of your Exact Online integration.
-
Scroll down to the bottom to the triggers section.
-
Click on add new trigger
The first trigger we're going to create is a trigger that will create a quotation in Exact Online. This will happen when the Quotation status is on pending. It will then automatically create a quotation in Exact Online. This will look like this:
In the first column we select pending. In the second column we select Create quotation. For this situation we are also creating a second trigger. This trigger will create a new order in Exact Online when the quotation has the accepted status in Elfsquad. So we repeat the previous steps. In the first column we select accepted and in the second column we select create order. Obviously you can also create other triggers that better suits your workflow.
Using triggers
Now that the Triggers are created, you can test it yourself. To do this, follow these steps:
-
Create a new quotation.
-
Click on submit
-
The quotation will be send to Exact Online.
Note: Make sure that the Customer information is also in your Exact Online environment. If this isn’t the case the Quotation will not send over. Also, the articles on the quotation will only be send to Exact Online if the Feature is Linked to a article in Exact Online.
Reports
You can also check if the Quotation is send over from Elfsquad. You do this by going to the integrations page and click on reports.
Here you will find reports if the quotation is send over to Exact online. If it failed, you can click on the line to check what went wrong.
