7.1 - Adding the add-in to excel

What is the excel add-in? 

Within Elfsquad, you can create several features that work together to form a configuration model. But where in Elfsquad you have to complete each feature individually, you can use the excel add-in to add multiple features to Elfsquad at once. Excel has its own Elfsquad add-in that provides a link between the two programs. First, let's add the Elfsquad add-in to Excel.

How do you add the Elfsquad add-in to excel?

1. Open excel. 

2. Open a new workbook and in the ribbon at the top of the screen, click the Insert tab. 

3. Then click the Download Add-ons button. 

4. This is identified by a red icon. 

5. A new window will then open. 

6. Enter Elfsquad in the search bar and press enter. 

7. The add-in will now appear. 

8. Click on add to add the add-in to excel.

When you now go back to the "start" tab, you will see that the add-in has been added on the right side of the screen. 

1. Click on the Elfsquad button to open the add-in. 

2. Then click the "sign in" button and enter your Elfsquad into credentials here. 

3. You have now added the Elfsquad add-in to excel.

The Efsquad excel add-in is primarily used to add multiple features to Elfsquad at once. Take the configuration of a bike as an example. When you want it configured you can use the add-in to add all the different choices such as different types of tires, frame type and color choices.
