Different users
Because you are logged in as an Admin user you can see and modify everything. At a certain moment sellers or dealers will also use the configurator. Obviously, it is not the intention that they are able to change everything within the EMS. Restrictions like these can be set up by creating a user as a salesperson. A User then has far fewer options and can only use the configurator for configuring and creating quotations.
Creating a sales account
Create a new user, this user we are going to set up as a salesperson. Navigate to Users in the left menu and click on the plus. Enter a custom email address other than the one you already have entered.
Note: If you don't have a different mail address, or if you prefer not to use one. On Google, you can find several websites where you can create a temporary account.
When the user is activated and you are logged in under this user, you will see that there is much less possible than as an admin user, you can do Master Data, Editor, Integrations, Users, Sub Organizations and Settings.
A salesperson can use Elfsquad to configure a product, create a quote and CRM account and view a quote. If we open the quote we created earlier, we see that as a salesperson we can modify all the data on a quote. We can change the configuration add an additional configuration etc.

Quotation Settings
You may not want sellers to have the same options at quote level. Log out and back in to your Admin account. In the left menu, go to Settings and navigate to Quotations. Under 'allowed quotation seller actions' we can indicate all the quotation actions a seller is allowed to do, for example you can indicate whether or not a seller is allowed to add an extra configuration.
Adding an extra configuration and removing quotation rules is not allowed for a sales rep, so we uncheck these options. If we now go to quotations we see that nothing has changed in our quotation. When we log out and log back in to our sales account we see that we can no longer add a configuration to the quotation and cannot delete any rules.
Assignment
In the quote settings, look at the Required fields and test them out. What do you see as an admin user and what do you see as a salesperson. Make sure the customer reference and salesperson are disabled and make the subject mandatory.
