Datasheets & Powersheets
Now that we have added the add-in to Elfsquad. Can we start adding features in Elfsquad. In this case we only add features to Elfsquad, you still have to assemble them into a configuration model in Elfsquad yourself of course. Building a full model with our add-in is also possible, however, this requires you to already have quite some knowledge of our add-in, so we will not cover this within these academy videos.
First, let's look at a datasheet. Make sure you have Excel open and logged in to the add-in. You will now see several data sheets and power sheets. Find the data sheet 'features' and click on it, then you will see a number of options:
- Open sheet: Clicking here opens the selected sheet.
- Highlight changes: When you have made changes to the opened sheet you can highlight the changes made with this function.
- Update changes: After you have made changes in the opened sheet you can make them by clicking update changes.
- Filters: Before you open a sheet, you can also choose to set some filters. This way you can ensure that only the features you want to change are shown in the opened sheet.

We are now going to add the first Feature.
-

-
Click on open sheet
-
Scroll all the way to the bottom and add a new feature by entering a name in the appropriate column for name, you can find this under column P in Excel.

Then also add an item code to the feature, in this example we will use the code 1000.
-
Click on the update changes
When you look in Elfsquad, you will see that the feature you just created has been added.
Creating multiple features simultaneously
You can also add multiple features to Elfsquad at once. Below we have prepared an Excel file that you can use to do a first feature import, download the file and open it.
-
Select all feature names in column A of the file.
-
Copy these and then paste this in the data sheet Features of the add-in, these are names so we will paste it in Column P.
-
After pasting, you can see that the add-in has registered 100 changes.
-
Click on update changes
